In The Studio...

 on my easel

** COMPLETE **

Title:
Deep Sea of Calmness

** An original mixed-media painting **
measures: 11" x 25"
created on: compressed/corrugated cardboard

She speaks of perfect quietness of the heart.

To be at peace, despite judgement...
When nobody praises her for the storms she has overcome.

She remains calm when all around and above is troubled.

My new series of paintings
dedicated to
The Beauty of Sorrow Project

Enjoy a sea of Humility!

  6. April, I'm always shocked (I don't know why anymore), that when I come to visit your blog we seem to be working with similar techniques. I just started a journal cover with the compressed cardboard. I love the way it looks torn off in places as you've done. It really works with your beautiful mermaid painting. "The Beauty of Sorrow Project" is such a wonderful idea. I'll take a closer look as time permits. Hugs to you!
