Collectively Collaging...

Why not.
Have you ever heard of such a thing...?

These are, but a few of the pages I have been working on.
Once I was able to go through the mounds of paper I was hoarding...
It is amazing what you find!

Imagine all this...
was just piling up, now I am creating a collage journal.

Makes you think twice about your stash.
Is it a habit to just collect?
Or, are you creating something "artful" with those papers?
Is there a answer to your madness of hoarding?

Just maybe...
it is time to let go.

    1. Hello Vickie
I have 2 going right now... I try to stay focused, if that is possible! LOL
One is the collage and the second one, I have been posting on my blog, is more a mixed media art journal.
I really try to get through all the pages, before I move on, that is just me.
Sounds normal to me... I have heard from other artists having a number of journals going at once. All is good!! ~xx
      Enjoy...

  10. I have bins, boxes and ziplocs filled with paper sorted by color, by words, by size. But I have to admit there's a certain satisfaction just in the collection and sorting and storage. When I do work on a collage or something, sometimes I have a hard time using a certain piece of paper because it's pretty or I love the color and I'm afraid that I'll want it in another, perfect collage yet to be conceived. Goofy, right? I really MUST start using the paper and not hoarding. Because there's ALWAYS more paper.

I've been away from art for a couple weeks but today after work I have sometime and I'm just itching to get my fingers painty and sticky! I love your pages and the freedom you're giving yourself to enjoy the process and use up some of those pretty papers! I may just follow suit.

  12. April, these are fantastic. I absolutely adore "THE BOYS ARE OUT"... Love how you handled the lettering, almost like the letters are trees as well. I also love the first one, TIRED OF WATCHING (and she does look so tired!!) Don't you just love collage? Yes, i have scraps of paper here and there as well, although there's little order to my paper mess. Wonderful to visit you here again April. xox
