Wishcasting Wednesday

What is your wish for the New Year?

We will open the book. Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity
its first chapter is New Year's Day.
~ Edith Pierce

My wish...
To look forward, not backwards...
I do not need to relive the past!
As I leave the past behind me...
I will have the opportunity to focus on
what is in front of me, my future!

Quality of Life...
Is very important to me.
It must be protected
No one has permission to steal my happiness
I do not have room in my heart for
negative, selfish, angry, hurtful people.
A waste of time.
Life is too precious

I whole heartedly wish...
To connect
with other creative "like-minded" people...
build solid, valuable friendships.

To truly inspire one another.
As we learn, share and grow together...
to help bring out the best in ourselves.

I am truly...
looking forward to the New Year.
If your heart so desires, you can follow along with me...

Make a wish.

Mini Keepsake Journal

Such a delightful keepsake.
This was quick, simple, and fun to create.

I shared this tutorial, posted last week here on my blog;
Friday's Lovely Links

First I created my mini album.
I watched the video that Hope Karney suggested from her site.
The video will show you how to make your very own
3 x 3 inch journal from one sheet of paper.
Click here to view the tutorial.

No doubt about it...
these are fast and fun to make!

All I needed to do was resize some photos
to fit the journal and print away...

There is a total of 16 pages
worked on each one at a time.
I added embellishments, scrap bits of paper,
rubber stamps, washi tape, acrylic paint,
watercolors, and ink.

Monday's Simplicity...

No need to complicate things
when it is really quite simple;
find what it is that makes you happy
and who it is that makes you happy
and... you're set.
My husband got the day off!
So wonderful,
after the holidays...
a much needed time, spent together.

Taking a break from the studio today.

Enjoy your Monday!

Inspirational Prompt #5
As we are approaching December 25th;
between wrapping presents, baking goodies, and entertaining...
 which can feel overwhelming.
Give yourself permission to be creative!
 Make something "artful".
A gift to yourself!
I am going to be creating one of these
mini keepsake journals today.
This will be perfect for
"Grand baby's First Christmas"
(will post photos)
